scars

One country that has shown commendable resilience is Japan. Be it natural calamities, bombings, war or any disaster and destruction, Japan has always emerged a survivor. The whole idea of not focusing on wounds but on healing is the mantra that Japan has given to the world. This monument dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the horrific bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is a testimony to the same. Designed by Architect Kenzo Tange it’s a stoic and beautifully respectful symbol of paying tribute and respect to the souls of the victims.
