Bully, a
humorous Frenchie, is the one of the few pieces in the series with abstract
elements. The idea started with a bell which Nirit was eager to incorporate
into the collection, and the French bulldog seemed most appropriate. Bulla, the
female version, was made as a companion to Bully.
Metal gear
parts, which are round and allow air to move through them, were the perfect
material to capture the graceful and fragile appearance of the
Saluki. Nirit became fascinated with the breed, which is also known for its
strength and intelligence, after playing with a friend's hound on the beach one
afternoon.
Lola is an
adorable little mutt near and dear to Nirit's heart - a replica of Nirit's
sister's beloved dog Lola. Real-life Lola is known for her wit and good looks.
Nirit calls her The Super Model.
Nirit Levav
is a multidisciplinary artist; a sculptor, fashion-designer, jewellery-maker,
potter.
