Adrienne Miller’s “We have been here” series
is a body of work is about remembering and forgetting. It’s about past catching
up on you and repeating itself. It also talks about selective memory and
imagination of the brain to store shadows of past events. It talks about identity
and is all about day to day life. A series originally began for a solo
exhibition at Nashville's Smallest Art Gallery,
the work contains images from a set of photographs documenting a woman travelling
alone across Europe and Asia in the 1960's.Each piece contains archival digital
printing with mixed media drawing on top.
