void

Andy Goldsworthy is a British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist who creates site specific sculpture and land art situated in natural and urban settings. The materials used in his art include brightly coloured flowers, leaves, mud, pine cones, stones, twigs, thorns ... even snow and icicles!

He has been quoted saying “ I think it’s incredibly brave to be working with flowers and leaves and petals. But I have to: I can’t edit the materials I work with. My remit is to work with nature as a whole.”

Land Art is an art movement in which the work of art and the landscape are inextricably linked. It is created using organic materials. Sculptures are not ‘placed’ in nature, but are born out of it, designed specifically for their context.
