school

The image is a mosaic made up of pieces of painted paper by six year olds under the
guidance of Mr. Hall, an artist and a relief teacher at a number of schools in Australia.

Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of coloured glass, stone, or other materials. Most mosaics are made up of small, flat, roughly square pieces of stone or glass of different colours, known as tessarae, but some may also be made up of rounded pieces of stone called ‘pebble mosaics’
