Calculus, often considered
to be a very complex branch of Mathematics, form the basis of "String
Art" seen in the image.
String art, a graphic art
form that became a popular mode of visual expression in the 1970's, has its
roots in Mary Everest Boole's "curve stitching". It is based on one of the main ideas in
calculus, that is the use of straight lines to represent curves.
